2nd Day Nails: Stamping (Snake Skin/Reptile)

Happy Hump Day!  I have some 2nd day nails I wanna share with you :)

Last weekend was my son's 4th birthday.  We took him to the Reptile Zoo, which he LOVED, and decided a mani to match would be fun.  I had done some Googling and saw THIS from Nail Polish Wars.  She does such great stuff.  I had A England Lady of the Lake and Color Club Worth the Risque in my stash, so I gave it a try.  Here are a couple pics in direct sunlight:

A England: Lady of the Lake

Quick question......Do you like to hear a little background about the author of a blog or just the nitty gritty details about the post topic?  Sometimes I wanna chat here a little, but I don't know if any one cares.  Let me know what you like :)

Today I am sharing A England Lady of the Lake.  I have had this polish for a while and I don't know why I waited so long to use it!  It's gorgeous and glides on like butter!  It's purple with a light holo effect.  Lady of the Lake covers real well in just one coat, but I did 2, just for good measure.

A England Lady of the Lake

A England is available depending on where you live.  If you are in the UK, you can order from http://a-england.co.uk/  Recently, Royal Mail has started destroying packages that contain illegal and flammable items, such as nail polish.  Luckily, A England has been working on the problem and if you live some where other than the UK, you can still purchase from http://shop.llarowe.com/

A England Lady of the Lake

I have a few A Englands and non disappoint.  Keep an eye out on their FB Page or sign up for e mails.  They often have sales and discount codes :)

That's it for now, have any A Englands?  Which is your fav?  Have a great Tuesday!!

Teal Tuesday: Half Moon

Happy Tuesday!!  This weeks Tealicure is a half moon.  Yet ANOTHER technique I haven't tried.  Go figure.  This group keeps me trying new things all the time.  I have seen the half moon done and it seems very easy.  I just didn't love the look.  Hence why I hadn't tried it.  Well, it was now time.  I wanted to do something I could wear every day and not have it be too "out there".  I have seen some crazy nails!!  I also wanted to add a little bling, so if course, got out some glitter.  The technique is easy.  All you need are some page reinforcements.  You can get them at the dollar store.  Just place them near the cuticle where you want the curve to be and paint.  I suggest removing each sticker as you paint each finger.  You will get a more crisp line.  If you wait too long, the nail polish will  start to dry on the sticker and when removed, you will get some polish pulling and end up with a jagged line.  I hope that made sense.
To add the glitter, I just used a large dotting tool.
Here is my half moon mani

Base Coat:  Rejuvacote
Tip Color:  A England Saint George (1 coat)
Glitter:  Pure Ice Beware
Top Coat:  Seche Vite

Can I just say that I am loving this mani!  I have been wanting to try this A England for a while and I think I made a good choice using it for the mani.

Half Moon Mani's, are they for you?

If you follow me on my FB Page Then you know that I recently got some A Englands when Ninja Polish got them back in stock.  I immediately tried out Perceval, a gorgeous red.  You know, cause I LOVE reds!  It went on so smooth.  I could have gotten away with just one coat, but did a 2nd one for good measure.  I love love love this one.

ASBMF #5: A Rainbow after the Rain

It's another mani from the April Showers Bring May Flowers Challenge.  This one is a rainbow after the rain.  I really wanted to do a rainbow.  But I don't have any yellow or orange polish :(  So I had to come up with some thing else.  I recently received a new polish is the mail.  A England Order of the Garter.  It's such a fantastic blue.  I thought it would make for a nice background.  I had to layer it over black, it's pretty sheer on it's own, but I only had to do one coat :)  Now to my rainbow issues.  I had this awesome idea to use rhinestones to do my rainbow.  After thinking about it I didn't want to use a bunch for one nail design.  And I am not a huge fan of tons of stuff on my nails.  I had some square rhinestones I hadn't been able to use yet.  So here is what I came up with.  What do you think?

Base Coat:  Seche Retain
Base Color #1:  Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris
Base Color #2:  A England Order of the Garter
Top Coat:  Seche Vite
Rainbow:  Square Rhinestones
