Sassy Lacquer: A Frosty Crocus {Review}

Afternoon ladies!  I have another review for Sassy Lacquer's Spring Line.  Today I am sharing A Frosty Crocus.  It's a lovely light purple with pink shimmer that builds up to the perfect for spring purple.  I chose not to use any undies, but I think you could layer this over blue or black and it would be beautiful.  Since I didn't use an undies, I went with 3 coats to make sure it was opaque all over the nail.  I definitely could have gotten away with 2, but I am glad I did 3, I like the look better :)

Base Coat:  Rejuvacote
Base Color:  Sassy Lacquer A Frosty Crocus (3 coats, no undies)
Top Coat:  Seche Vite

This polish dries semi matte, so I recommend a nice glossy top coat.  Unless you are looking for a matte look ;)

I love the way you get the flashes of pink as you move your hands.  This really is quite pretty.  Head over and visit Sassy Lacquer's Store to pick this one up for yourself.

Happy Friday, Enjoy your weekend!

I Headed to YouTube and found this video to be very helpful.  So off I went, here are my pretty pink glittery nails.  I am loving them.  I can't stop looking at them!

Sassy Lacquer: Tiger Lily Wears Pink {Review}

Good morning and Happy Hump Day!  I am excited to share a polish with you from a friends line, Sassy Lacquer.  I received 2 beautiful polishes from the Spring Line and today I am sharing Tiger Lily Wears Pink.  It's a beautiful pink creme with tiny red specks and the formula is awesome!  It's quit smooth and applied like a dream.  From the first stroke I knew I was going to love this one.  Two coats is all I needed for complete opacity.  I am loving this color, which is great, cause I don't usually do pinks.  Tiger Lily Wears Pink is gonna be fun to wear this Spring and Summer :)

Hi guys! I'm Carrie, I blog over at Reflections, Sassy Nails, and Silly Diversions. I am also the face behind Sassy Lacquer.

I have something very summery for you today.

I used China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard (green) and flip flop fantasy (pink) which looks peach but the camera was spazzing out on it, lol. I was trying to go for something different and kind of abstract, but ended up with a flower on my ring fingers and mickey ears on my other fingers!!!

Don't forget to come visit me over on my blog, I don't write as often as I used to but I am getting back into the swing of it, hopefully!

I also have some new collections coming out soon!! You can keep up to speed on my FB page.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my summer mani!

My Special Franken Polish

There are lots of FB groups for polish lovers as well as groups where you exchange polish every month.  I have a birthday group, which is where you buy a polish gift for a different girl during her birthday month.  Then when it's your birthday month, you sit back, relax and enjoy 11 gifts sent to you, make sense?  Well, I wanted a little group where every one received a small gift every month.  I created my Round Robin group which consist of 5 girls and a new theme each month.  We alternate who we buy for each month.  Sadly, August was our last month :(  But we had a cool theme.  Franken!  I have never made polish, mixed it or anything of the sort.  I am proud to say that my girl for August LOVES the polishes I made for her.  I am so happy cause I was a little worried LOL  I got super lucky though.  One of the gals in my group creates and sells polish as a home hobby.  She had me for August!!  YAY!!  She made me 2 awesome polishes.  Today I am going to share with you  a pink glittery holo with some flakies in it.  I layered 2 coats over black and I LOVE IT!!!!!

Base Coat:  Rejuvacote
Base Color:  WnW Ebony Hates Chris
Holo:  Sassy Lacquer Custom
Top Coat:  Seche Vite

I am pretty bummed about the shrinkage, but that has nothing to do with my perfect franken.  It happens some times with Seche Vite :(

Carrie has a new line coming soon, you should check out her store HERE

Thanks for stopping in!

Teal Tuesday: Dots

Tuesday is upon us again :)  This weeks theme for Teal Tuesday is Dots.  I have been wanting to try design that I saw on Pinterest.  It didn't go exactly as planned, but I think it still came out cute.  I finally got to use a color shifting top coat that I had purchased from a friend who has her own Indie Line, you can check her out HERE  This particular one is called Electric Eel, it looked more turquoise in the bottle.  After I layered it over black, it was more green.  That was ok though, it looks really pretty out in the sun :)  Since the top coat was more green than I thought, I had to use some teal dots, so I went with my Kleancolor Metallics, Aqua, Fuschia and Yellow.  Grabbed my dotting tools and got to dotting LOL
What do you think?
Base Coat:  Rejuvacote
Base Color:  Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris
Effects Top Coat:  Sassy Lacquer Electric Eel
Dots:  Kleancolor Metallic Aqua, Fuschia and Yellow
Top Coat:  Rejuvacote

I had fun wearing this mani for a few days.  Even got a few compliments :)
