NCC~April~Pastel~Week 3

It's time share another pastel mani from the NCC group.  April is pastels and here is my 3rd mani

Zoya Arizona striped mani
Base Coat:  Rejuvacote
Base Color:  Zoya Arizona
Stripes:  Pink and White from L.A. Colors
Top Coat: Seche Vite

So, you are probably thinking that this doesn't really look pastel.  When I did my base, I had no idea what I was going to do but a light orange would be fun.  After adding the pink stripes, it quickly started to look like a bright neon mani.  Adding the white gave it more dimension and even though it may not all be pastel, I really like how this one came out :)

Another quick shot in the shade.
As always, check out the other ladies doing the challenge with me.

Happy Wednesday!

OPI: I Theodora You Dotticure

Easter is this weekend people!  I have big plans with the family so I am popping in to share my cute Easter inspired dotticure.  I have been wanting to do one for a while, but when I am in a slump, it never enters my head.  I need to start keeping a list of techniques I wanna try.  Anywho, I also picked up OPI I Theodora You  (from the Oz the Great and Powerful Collection) when I went to Ulta this week.  It's a cute light pink jelly.  I will def have to use this one for a jelly sammie.  I did 2 coats and of course you can still see some of my nail underneath, but that is kind of to be expected.  I grabbed China Glaze For Audrey and Happy Go Lucky for my dots.  Kind of the only options I had, I don't have a lot of pastels.  So I gotta work with what I got ;)  Here is how it turned out.  Pretty good I think.  I have seen better, but for a first try, I am happy with it.

Base Coat:  Rejuvacote
Base Color:  OPI I Theodora You (2 coats)
Dots:  China Glaze For Audrey and Happy Go Lucky

Easter plans this Sunday?  Got a cute mani in mind?  Share :)  Have a great weekend all!

2nd Day Nails: Reverse Gradient

Today's post is short and sweet :)  Yesterday I shared my review for Sassy Lacquer, Tiger Lily Wears Pink, which you can see HERE.  After doing my nails I knew I wanted to add a little spunk and decided it was time to try a reverse gradient.  I have such a perfect gold and silver glitter (Bling) from BadAss Polish that I reviewed a while back, you can see that HERE.
I Headed to YouTube and found this video to be very helpful.  So off I went, here are my pretty pink glittery nails.  I am loving them.  I can't stop looking at them!

Sassy Lacquer: Tiger Lily Wears Pink {Review}

Good morning and Happy Hump Day!  I am excited to share a polish with you from a friends line, Sassy Lacquer.  I received 2 beautiful polishes from the Spring Line and today I am sharing Tiger Lily Wears Pink.  It's a beautiful pink creme with tiny red specks and the formula is awesome!  It's quit smooth and applied like a dream.  From the first stroke I knew I was going to love this one.  Two coats is all I needed for complete opacity.  I am loving this color, which is great, cause I don't usually do pinks.  Tiger Lily Wears Pink is gonna be fun to wear this Spring and Summer :)

BadAss Polish: The Vikes {Review}

Hey everyone, long time no talk!  Hope your Christmas and New Years was great.  My son was off school for 2 weeks and today was his first day back.  He was excited to go back and see his teacher.  I love that he loves school!!
Before the break I received another polish from BadAss Polish for review.  The Vikes is another from their football line, based on The Vikings.  It's a clear base packed with purple glitter, small white hex glitter and large yellow hex glitter.  It's quit pretty.  Of course I took a few bottle shots:

BadAss Polish The Vikes

When I was deciding what I wanted to use as a base, I tried out like 10 different colors, and this one looks good over a variety of colors.  When I reviewed the last 2 polishes from the football line, America's Team and Go Pack Go! I kept with the colors of the team.  This time I just went all girly LOL

BadAss Polish The Vikes

I went with pink and silver using Sally Hansen Extreme Wear Very Cherry and Orly Dazzle.

BadAss Polish The Vikes

I used 2 coats of The Vikes over my base coat.  It was perfect.  Lots of purple, a little bit of white and a touch of the yellow :)
As always, you can buy BadAss polishes on Etsy and make sure to check out their FB Page where you can check other reviews and swatches.

Can't wait to see what else they come up with!!

Happy Monday, hope it's not too terrible to get back into your weekly routine after all the Christmas and New Years fun.

OPI Excuse Moi

Last weekend was my niece's 4th birthday.  She is such a cute and a giant ham.  The family got together to hang out, have cake and ice and of course, give presents to the birthday girl.  I get to make my niece's birthday cakes/cupcakes/cake balls every year.  So much fun!!

This year my niece was having a princess party.  She chose Belle as her cake and so I got to make a Belle doll cake. My first ever, exciting!  Plus it game me an excuse to buy a new pan :)

After getting the cake baked and decorated, I had to decide what I was going to wear on my nails.  Back in July, I did an Ariel cake for for my other niece and went with cupcake nails to match.  You can see that post HERE  Anywho, I was going to go with cupcake nails again and then decided some glittery nails would be more fun.  Enter OPI Excuse Moi from the Muppets Collection.

This is such a great polish.  I was really surprised with how jam packed the glitters are.  One coat was almost opaque!!  After 2 coats, I was in love.  I don't do a lot of pinks, but this is such a great glittery sparkly pink.  I am still wearing it today, 4 days later!!

Here are my birthday nails:

 Base Coat:  Rejuvacote
Base Color:  OPI Excuse Moi
Top Coat:  Seche Vite

And just because I mentioned it was my nieces birthday, I am going to share a pic of the cake I made :)

The week is almost over and I am preparing for a blog sale.  I have lots of good stuff up for grabs.  Be sure to keep your eyes open, until then, HAPPY THURSDAY!!!

Guest Blogger Friday: Space Life Thoughts

Say hi to my friend Gwen, we met in a FB group and have been chatting and doing swaps ever since.  I was so excited when she agreed to do a guest post for me.  I love her blog and her mani's.  Make sure to stop by Space Life Thoughts to say hi :)

*********************************************************************************

Hiya!
When Amanda asked people to do a guest post for her I didn’t have to think about it. I decided I wanted to participate immediately. So here it is, my guest post for Mandy ‘s Polish.

I want to show you guys a pretty holographic lacquer. The summer hasn’t been very warm and sunny in the Netherlands but when the sun was shining for a couple of days I really wanted my nails to shine. This is three coats of Milani Digital. I sandwiched this color with a layer of Poshé topcoat after the second coat of Digital.

This polish is at its finest in the sun.  But it’s not dull at all in the shade. It would be perfectly fine to wear this color when there’s no sun at all!
Thanks for watching and I hope to see you guys at my blog sometime!

Cupcake Nails

My niece's birthday was this last July.  I can't believe it has taken me this long to share my mani from her party.  I was asked to make her cake, YAY!!  She was having an Ariel party and wanted an Ariel head.  Sure thing niece!!  I was excited to make this cake.  But she was kind of a pain in the ass.  I had never used the Ariel pan before so I was learning as I go.  I have done character cakes before.  Sadly, the indentations for the lines on this particular pan didn't match up to the picture.  So I had to wing it a little bit.  I think it came out pretty good.  I am not too happy with the eyes, but that is where there were some discrepancies with the pan lines and the picture.
I decided it would be really fun to have some fun birthday party nails.  Normally, I make cupcakes for parties.  Since I wasn't doing any for my niece, I decided cupcake nails were a must!
These were super simple to do.  I did a pink french tip and then added the green stripes with a nail art brush.  Using a dotting tool I created the "frosting" with white then added the green "sprinkles" and pink heart "topper".  Cute and simple.  I am really happy with how these turned out.  I will definitely be doing this design again :)

Base Coat:  Rejuvacote
Pink:  Sally Hansen Extreme Wear Very Cherry
Green:  Sally Hansen Extreme Wear Green With Envy
White:  Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Top Coat:  Seche Vite

I really wish I had shared these earlier.  I hope you enjoy my cupcake nails and my Ariel cake :)

Hello Lovelies!

My name is Karine and I'm very excited, although nervous to talk to you today :), this is my first guest post and I am truly honored that it came from a polish sister. I was introduced to Mandy via a Spring challenge, and let me tell you, I thought a long time about what I wanted to do as this lady got skills! Today, I am showing you a simple striping tape nail art. It's summer and pink never gets boring during this season, so I choose the Essence duo Shopping Trip In Soho and Party All Night Long. On to the pics!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it :)

Lazy Days of Summer: Inspired by your favorite towel

This next challenge is a cute one.  Inspired by your favorite towel.....I have to say, I don't have any favorite or fancy towels.  We just have beige and white towels here.  A couple kids towels but they are by no means a favorite.  I do however have a cute beach towel that is pink and white stripes.  I could call this my favorite towel.  It certainly isn't as boring as beige and white!  Here is my interpretation of said towel

Base Color: Sinful Colors 24/7
Shimmer:  Sally Hansen HD LCD
Stripes:  L.A. Colors in Black and White
Glitter:  L.A. Colors Silver Striper
Top Coat:  Seche Vite

I added the black and glitter for a little pop.  I really like this technique, I used it HERE when I was just getting started.  I didn't look up any striping mani's so I have no idea if this has been done.  But, I will continue to do this, I love the way it tuns out :)

Here are the other gals doing the challenge:

Essence: Glamorous Life

Today is just a simple and cute mani.  I have for you Essence Glamorous Life.  I got this pretty from a swap I did with a friend in the Netherlands.  I love this pink!  I don't usually go for pinks, but I had to have this one.  I used this as my base for my Mother's Day Leopard Mani, you can see it HERE.  I have to cherish these little ones, the bottles are only .16floz.  I will continue to hunt these little cuties down!

This is 2 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.  What do you think?

Have you noticed that the pictures here have changed a bit?  I found a new editing site called PicMonkey.  I am having so much fun making these fun and cute collages.  Expect to see more :)

OPI DS Perfection

I have been absent far too long.  I apologize.  Been super busy around here.  We had some new furniture delivered and basically moved everything out and moved all the new stuff in.  I have been putting stuff away, cleaning, re-organizing, donating and tossing stuff out.  I am proud to say that I am done!  I have a new living room and bedroom.  I am so excited!!
I have such a pretty pink to share with you today.  It's OPI DS Perfection.  It's got a little bit of a gold shimmer.  You can really see it in the bottle, not so much on the nail.  But I still love it.  It's soooo pretty!!

Base Coat:  Seche REBUILD
Base Color:  OPI DS Perfection (2 coats)
Top Coat:  Seche Vite

China Glaze: Material Girl

So, it's Sunday.  I don't have an Adventures in Stamping Challenge for you.  This weeks theme was "inspired by music"  I am not gonna lie.  I didn't even try to come up with some thing.  I was so busy these last few days it just wasn't gonna happen.  But, I do have a pretty glitter mani to share.  This is Material Girl from the China Glaze Eye Candy Collection.  I only did 2 coats and it covered very well.  SUPER shiny and sparkly in the sun.  I was very disappointed when it started to chip/peel by the end of the day.  I had 2 more chips the next morning :(  Needless to say, this mani lasted less than 24 hours.  Not sure if there is some thing different I can do next time.  If you have any suggestions, please let me know.  Thanks!!  Here is how it looks when it was all pretty

Base Coat:  Seche Retain
Base Color:  China Glaze  Material Girl
Top Coat:  Sech Vite
