Guest Post from Reflections, Sassy Nails, and Silly Diversions!

Hey all!  I have another guest blogger for you.  This is Carrie, she is awesome!!  She is sharing a fun summer mani today.  I know it's Fall, but around here, we are still getting a lot of sun and high temps.  Check her out!

*********************************************************************************

Hi guys! I'm Carrie, I blog over at Reflections, Sassy Nails, and Silly Diversions. I am also the face behind Sassy Lacquer.

I have something very summery for you today.

I used China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard (green) and flip flop fantasy (pink) which looks peach but the camera was spazzing out on it, lol. I was trying to go for something different and kind of abstract, but ended up with a flower on my ring fingers and mickey ears on my other fingers!!!

Don't forget to come visit me over on my blog, I don't write as often as I used to but I am getting back into the swing of it, hopefully!

I also have some new collections coming out soon!! You can keep up to speed on my FB page.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my summer mani!

Guest Blogger Friday: Space Life Thoughts

Say hi to my friend Gwen, we met in a FB group and have been chatting and doing swaps ever since.  I was so excited when she agreed to do a guest post for me.  I love her blog and her mani's.  Make sure to stop by Space Life Thoughts to say hi :)

*********************************************************************************

Hiya!
When Amanda asked people to do a guest post for her I didn’t have to think about it. I decided I wanted to participate immediately. So here it is, my guest post for Mandy ‘s Polish.

I want to show you guys a pretty holographic lacquer. The summer hasn’t been very warm and sunny in the Netherlands but when the sun was shining for a couple of days I really wanted my nails to shine. This is three coats of Milani Digital. I sandwiched this color with a layer of Poshé topcoat after the second coat of Digital.

This polish is at its finest in the sun.  But it’s not dull at all in the shade. It would be perfectly fine to wear this color when there’s no sun at all!
Thanks for watching and I hope to see you guys at my blog sometime!

Guest Blogger Friday: Nail Polish Lane

Welcome to another Guest Blogger Friday!!  I am enjoying all the fun Friday mani's.  This week Belén so graciously offered to share her talents.  She has a great blog, don't forget to go check her out :)

*********************************************************************************

Mandy gave the opportunity of doing a guest post, and I am so happy! I'm going to introduce myself: I'm Belén, from Nail Polish Lane. I started my nail polish obsession about eight months ago, even though I always enjoyed painting my nails with solid colors. I started my blog a few months ago, but I started being very active in August, because I was doing the 31 day challenge!
Now to the mani! For this special occasion I wanted to show you Accessorize Pink Spice, a really beautiful nail polish that I got in the UK. It is a multi-chrome between pink, gold and orange. It is so cool! I wanted to add something, but I didn't want to cover that awesomeness, so I decided to add a little bows with the technique I learned in the Wah Book of Nail Art from Sharmadean Reid. I used nail art pens that I got in Accessorize as well to draw them. They didn't come out perfect, but I got a LOT of compliments and it is easy to do, you just need a little bit of patience. I hope you enjoyed my entry. Have a great day!

Guest Blogger Friday: A Little Polish

Happy Friday!  Today's guest blogger is Stephanie from A Little Polish.  I love her blog, her mani's, her style, everything!  She has some great designs and I am happy she agreed to post for me :)

*********************************************************************************

Hey Ladies, this is Stephanie from A Little Polish. I was so excited with Mandy asked me to do a guest post for her. I love her blog, and she has great nails, art, stamping, blogging, etc.. the list goes on and on!

For this mani I decided to do something freehand so I went simple with some leopard print accents. I'm calling it "Mint Chip Leopard" in my mind.

For this mani I started off with two coats of Finger Paints "Pistachio" and layered OPI "Pirouette My Whistle" over top. For my accent nails I used Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" and Kiss Nail Art Striper in Black. My leopard print isn't the best in the scheme of all bloggers out there, but one thing that I like about this print is that anyone can do it if they try and with all animal prints, and everything in nature, there is no right or wrong and everything is unique :)

Do you ever do animal print manis? What is your favorite?

Thanks again to Mandy for having me guest post on her blog. Hope you enjoyed seeing my Mint Chip Leopard Mani!

Today's guest blogger for Guest Blogger Friday is Karine from Karinea0a.  I am so glad she joined the series.  We did the Spring Challenge together and are now doing the Lazy Days of Summer.  I enjoy her mani's very much, I am sure you will too :)

*********************************************************************************

Hello Lovelies!

My name is Karine and I'm very excited, although nervous to talk to you today :), this is my first guest post and I am truly honored that it came from a polish sister. I was introduced to Mandy via a Spring challenge, and let me tell you, I thought a long time about what I wanted to do as this lady got skills! Today, I am showing you a simple striping tape nail art. It's summer and pink never gets boring during this season, so I choose the Essence duo Shopping Trip In Soho and Party All Night Long. On to the pics!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it :)

Guest Blogger Friday: Geeky Owl

Happy Friday!  Today's guest blogger is Kirsten from Geeky Owl.  I am so happy to have her here today.  She has a great blog and I love all her mani's.  I especially love this one she is sharing with you today.  I can't wait to try this one out :)

*********************************************************************************

Hello all! My name is Kirsten and I have a blog over at Geeky Owl. Mandy asked if anyone would love to do a guest post for and I gladly offered! I've gotten to know Mandy through a few groups that we are in together on facebook! She has even done a guest post for me too! I love the polish community!

So today I thought I would push my comfort zone and go a bit beyond what I normally do. Tape manis. Now, I've done at least one before and wasn't all that impressed. But I saw this Nude Zigzag on Nailside and thought, hey I can do that! Hopefully! >_<

Here is how it turned out:

And can I just saw....that I am a smitten kitten! I love how it turned out! I surprised even myself! hahahaha! :) Now, Nailside doesn't use a base polish on her mani. But I wanted to try and hide the little nail bruise/white thing I had going on on my ring finger and to blend some of the staining.

So I used OPI Bubble Bath as my base polish (with OPI Nail Envy as my base coat). As you can see this is the perfect polish to wear when you don't want to look like you are wearing any and to use for a french mani. But it didn't do much for the bruise/white spot thingy (and the one on the index is actually just a light glare). But it did help to lessen some of the staining! :) This polish applied wonderfully!

So if I couldn't hide it with OPI Bubble bath then by golly I could make the zigzag cover it! Success! (for the most part). I used Essence Romeo from Essence's Nail Art Twins, one of my go to greys. It is a perfect one coater that is brilliant for manis like this! Love it! So the trick to this mani is to use two pieces of tape shaped like triangles and to remove slowly. And what I learned after doing this hand and doing my right hand, it is better to remove them one piece at a time, not both together. Oh well, I still like it! :)

But I couldn't just leave it all pretty and grey right? Nope! Must add glitter! So I added Essence Julia, Romeo's Twin from Essence's Nail Art Twins. I don't often use the twins that go together, together! But I knew Julia would be the best for this mani! I love how it turned out! This is before a top coat. I took this photo then applied a top coat, waited about 5 minutes (I use Seche Vite), went downstairs and made lunch only to smack my middle finger nail on a shelf in the fridge and crumpled a bit of the mani! Waaaaaa! It was still a bit pliable so I smooshed (technical term, I promise!) back and it's better (but a little worse for wear!).

I hope you enjoyed my guest post! And thank you Mandy for letting me take some space on your wonderful blog! :)

Guest Blogger Friday: WalkInMyEyeShadow

It's Guest Blogger Friday over here.  Today Natalie is joining us from WalkInMyEyeShadow.  She is a newer blogger and has some great stuff to show you.  Go check her out!!

*********************************************************************************

G'day all!

My name is Natalie Elise and I am a beauty blogger from Australia. Most of my time is spent either researching makeup and nails or blogging on my website, WalkInMyEyeShadow. When I was asked to do a guest post for Mandy's Polish I was really excited so hopefully you enjoy my mani and please check out my blog.

For my guest post I wanted to create a manicure inspired by peacock colours. My favorite colours are teal and purple and I wanted to bring those into a manicure, and this is what I came up with.

Here are the supplies I used for this manicure.

As a base colour I used China Glaze "Shower Together". I then applied stripes of colour across the background using various peacock inspired shade from LA Colours Art Deco. The colours I used were Magenta, Vibrant, Dark Blue and Forest Green.

I then added a little bit of sparkle by using the glitter stripers in Blue Glitter, Teal Glitter and a purple glitter striper that I don't know the name of. This is how it turned out

I then stamped a design from Mash image plate 49 with China Glaze "Metallic Muse", and this is how it turned out

Hopefully you have enjoyed my guest post here on Mandy's Polish, I would like to thank Amanda for giving me the opportunity to become known by a wider audience and look forward to hearing any feedback you have for me. Please check out my blog for more looks and reviews.

Guest Blogger Friday: Creative Nail Design By Sue

Morning Lovelies, welcome to Guest Blogger Friday!  This a new series I am starting.  I plan to have a guest blogger every Friday for as long as I can.  My first guest is Sue from Creative Nail Design By Sue  I am so happy to have her here today.  She has some wonderful mani's and is such a sweet person.  Thanks for stopping by here Sue :)

*********************************************************************************

Hi, my name is Sue and I am from Creative Nail Design By Sue.  When Mandy asked if anyone was willing to do a guest post for her, I immediately jumped on board.  Love her blog and she is super sweet.

When the Color Club Take Wing Collection came out, I immediately fell in love with them all.  I convinced myself I only needed three but went back two more times to complete the set.  I have used them all a bunch since then.  In this mani, I used all of them except Metamorphosis (which is really my favorite) but I just did not have long enough nails for them all.  The base coat is OPI Alpine Snow.  I did a basic gradient using cosmetic sponges.  Once I was done, I decided it was just the background I needed to use my Bundle Monster Plate 07 to add the peace symbol.

I really love the look.  Reminds me of a comfortable old tie dye t-shirt I used to have.  Hope you enjoyed!! Peace out!!
