It's been a week and I did all that I said I was going to do. After taking pictures and getting a real close look at my nails. I am not happy. First off, I tore the side of my nail on my left index finger. I filed the side down so it isn't too noticeable. I did the by running my fingers through my hair. Seems a strand caught the side. Does that make sense? It sucks. It also seems as though I still have some peeling. Take a look
It looks like I have 2 layers of my nail growing. I never noticed that until I was watermarking my photo. I am going to stick with the regimen for a month. If nothing changes, guess I will have to switch and try some thing else. My nails are growing, which is great, I don't like the way the polish looks when they are super short.
In other news, my giveaway ends soon. Be sure to enter HERE
Hey Mandy! I know it's hard but you have to be patient (smile). It's going to take at least two whole weeks until you notice anything, but I've seen your arsenal and it's quite impressive! It should work :)
ReplyDeleteI am trying to be patient LOL I am going to keep with the REBUILD for at least a month :)
DeleteWhat I've found helps when trying to prevent that double layer is not to cut - at all - with clippers. I don't know if you do but I used to and it was AWFUL for my nailsies.
ReplyDeleteI hate running my hands through my hair with nekkid nails and having my hair get caught on all my peeling bits. I know just what you mean -.-
Be patient Mandy, they're looking better already!
I've experienced the same problem with clippers... I've banished them from my house. But I don't like filing either so it's a bit messed up! ;)
DeleteNo clippers? My nails don't usually get so long that I have to actually cut them. They usually break and then I file. I have all over that girls have issues with peeling when they file. Who knows. All I know is that I don't like it! hahahaha We will see how this goes for next week :)
DeleteHi! I just stumbled upon your blog & I can totally relate! I like to wear my nails long & basically the same thing happened where I broke a couple nails, ugh, and on both hands so I had to trim them all down supershort & grow them out from scratch! Hate when that happens, but I hate when they are uneven length so I had no choice. I finally grew them almost out recently and snap, broke my ring finger nail badly & right before a contest I was planning to enter so for the first time ever I went & got a fake nail & put on my ring fingernail, lol! Now hopefully I won't break anymore nails! ...btw, totally know what you are talking about with getting your hair caught in the nail slit, lol... Anyways, I'm your new rambling follower, lol, would love if you would follow me back on my blog aswell: http://myprettynailz.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found me and thanks for commenting. It's nice to know that I am not alone.
DeleteYour designs on your blog are awesome, very talented!!
Hi! I know what you mean, I just recently had two break so cut the rest. I don't know if you have ever tried the electric manicure file thing, not sure what it is called. It has different tips, that it what I use to do my nails, it works great for me. Also when my nails are short they tend to peel unless I keep nail polish on them, so right now I have a kinda nude color with top
ReplyDeletecoat and they are growing good. I have subscribed to your blog and would like you to visit mine. You know how hard it is to get one going and any help or tips you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I will be doing a new blog in the next couple days as my nails are now long enough. Please stop by..Reen23.blogspot.com
