I have been using a new treatment for my nails and I just had to share my results with you. You may remember that I have tried Nail Envy (for sensitive peeling nails), then switched to Seche REBUILD. I used that for a while. I was happy at first. My nails were getting stronger, but the peeling was not going away :( When I was reading through some posts in PAA (nail polish FB group) a lot of gals recommended Rejuvacote. I decided to read the reviews on Amazon and immediately purchased from eBay. Always trying to save a buck, ya know? Any who, I started using it right away. You apply as a base coat and apply on top of your polish once a day for 7 days and then remove and start over. It didn't take long for me to see that my nails were much stronger. With in a week or so, no more peelies! ANNNNNND my nails were white all the way across. My nails always looked see through on the sides, because that is where they are the weekest and that is where mine would tear. NOT ANY MORE!! I love this stuff! I applied every day for about 2 weeks then started using it just as a base coat when I do my nails every 3-4 days. My nails are still strong and growing like crazy. I have to file them down every time I change my polish. That is a first for me :) Now, I am not going to tell you that you will never break another nail. Not so. I have actually broken 3 in the last week. But it couldn't be avoided. Shutting a nail in a door is bound to break it lol
The real question....does it prevent staining?
ReplyDeleteSo far I have only used one polish that stains, that was Zoya Charla. I used Seche REBUILD for that mani. So far using the Rejuvacote, no staining. But I don't think I have used a polish known for staining. I just might have to try Charla out again :)
DeleteShut in a door?! Yeouch--glad your fingernail's all that broke!
ReplyDeleteThey were getting really long LOL
DeleteOhai, and I'm back again! Just wanted to let you know that I've tagged you with The Liebster Award. If you want to check it out, you can see more about it here:

I always feel weird about dropping links in comments like this, but...cheers! ^_^
I so need to try this! Rebuild and Nail Envy haven't fixed the peelies I have!
ReplyDeleteExciting to learn about new products that work well! I am super new to doing manis regularly and did something really stupid...pealed polish off...I TOTALLY wrecked my nails. I also take several medications and I have Lyme disease so my nails are pretty unhealthy. I am sure this will help. What I'd like to know (and am not sure if this is the apporpriate place to ask?) Is, do you use a quick dry on top or beneath this? And what do you use? I'm currently using (and very happy w/) seche vite.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this info :)
Tami
I love Seche Vite!! I do a base coat of the Rejuvacote, paint my nails then top with Seche Vite. When I was applying Rejuvacote every day, I just added it on top of my current mani. Then started over about 3-4 days later. Now, I just use as a base coat, paint my nails and top with Seche Vite. Hope this helps your nails :)
